Pollen forecast for Vienna, 19 October 2026
The pollen season has come to an end!
The week begins in the capital with dry, cloudy weather, with the sun breaking through from time to time. On Wednesday, it will rain in the afternoon and temperatures will drop slightly. The weather will then remain changeable until the weekend. There is hardly any pollen detectable in the ambient air. In isolated cases, late-flowering ornamental grasses and cedars may cause symptoms in their immediate vicinity.
Fungal spores, on the other hand, are still present in significant quantities in the ambient air. You should therefore continue to keep an eye on the 4-day forecast.
Should you nevertheless suffer from more severe allergic symptoms in the coming weeks, this could indicate a house dust mite allergy. To clarify this, please consult an allergist.
The team at Austrian Pollen Information will continue to monitor the situation closely in the coming weeks and will resume its forecasting service once hazel and alder trees begin to flower. We estimate that the first model data will likely be available in December.
Until then, we hope you enjoy a period as symptom-free as possible and thank you for your trust during the 2026 pollen season.
