R-PAS model for ragweed

The charts produced by the Ragweed Pollen Alert System (R-PAS) show the allergy risk and ragweed pollen levels in the Pannonian region, with a focus on Hungary and Austria. 


The R-PAS model uses a ‘multilayer perceptron’ (MLP) artificial neural network to generate 3-day pollen forecasts. R-PAS was launched in 2014 by the Hungarian National Institute of Public Health. In order to provide allergy sufferers with even better information, the model was extended to cover the whole of Austria as part of the cross-border INTERREG project PollenCare (ATHU-0100090).

Please note that these forecast maps are based on model calculations and may differ from actual conditions. The accuracy of the calculations may vary due to various factors, such as local peculiarities or unforeseen events.
