Pollen warning service Upper Austria from April 30 to May 7, 2025
In the Alpine foothills and Danube region, the flowering of allergologically significant grasses, dock and plantain has started early. This means that the grasses are likely to peak in the first half of May. In contrast, the birch is coming to the end of its flowering period. Low to moderate levels of birch and ash still occur in the higher Mühlviertel and in the Alpine region. In the Alps, the green alder has begun to flower. Oak generally dominates the tree pollen. Maple and willow are still common, and in residential areas mainly plane tree, as well as walnut and horse chestnut, all of which are of lesser allergological importance.
