Pollen forecast for Carinthia – Autumn 2026

For the 2026 growing season, the period of health problems caused by pollen has come to an end. People with pollen allergies can look forward to symptom-free autumn and winter months!

Locally, cedar trees planted as ornamental trees may continue to release pollen well into autumn. However, the allergenic significance of this pollen is very low.

Depending on how daily temperatures develop from the start of December, the purple alders planted as avenue trees in urban areas may begin to release pollen as early as mid-December. Allergic exposure to the pollen of this cultivated tree is primarily limited to local areas.

Fungal spore counts will continue into late autumn, with levels at times reaching very high levels. Large quantities of fungal spores are released into the atmosphere, particularly following rainfall.

With this bulletin, the Carinthia Pollen Warning Service concludes its service for the year 2026. The next bulletin will be issued in February 2027.

We wish all visitors to our website a pleasant and, above all, symptom-free autumn and winter!
